May 19, 2025—Sampson Elementary School third grade student Simona Li is an excellent student in and out of the classroom.

Accomplishments: Li recently had some of her artwork selected for the CFISD K-12 Spring Art Show and she passed her Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Grade 2 violin performance. Li is also an honor roll student and enjoys helping others.

Favorite class: “Art, because I like the different ways of creating art and the different techniques. I also like painting and paper folding. Sometimes I like to just free draw.”

Favorite things to do after class: “My favorite things to do after class are reading, writing and playing tennis.”

Favorite website/app: “YouTube, because I like to post videos, and I like to watch them.”

Favorite movie: “I like all the Harry Potter movies. I love them because they are so interesting, and each one has a different story. I also really like the magic spells.”

Ambition: “I want to be an inventor scientist when I grow up because I want to create different kinds of things.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I like to read books and I like science. I also like little animals.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “I can’t live without art, music and books.”
