Sept. 3, 2025—Representatives from Cypress Crossroads Dental Group visited the staff at Sampson Elementary School on Aug. 26 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize community resources to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

Dr. Abeer Elshewehy, a dentist with Cypress Crossroads Dental Group, shared that she wanted to show her appreciation to the Sampson staff and students by entering into a formal school adoption.

“Adopting Sampson alongside my office, Cypress Crossroads Dental Group and Dr. Kopa, is a true honor for me,” Dr. Elshewehy said. “Supporting teachers is at the heart of why we chose to do this because their dedication shapes the future of our children. On a personal level, this partnership means even more—when my family moved to Cypress a year ago, the staff at Sampson helped make our transition smooth and welcoming, and for that I will always be grateful. This is my way of giving back to a community that has given so much to us. Through this adoption, I hope to support the incredible teachers and parents while also promoting excellent oral health for students. My aspiration is to not only care for smiles, but also to strengthen the bonds within our neighborhood and make a lasting difference in the lives of these children.”
